#Jazz legend Hank Mobley

I was looking through some old works I had painted for a group exhibition I was part of in downtown Toronto during the yearly held International Jazz Festival. This took place around 10 years ago. I remember a lady walking in off the street and shouted out, "Great show, wrong city." Perhaps she was thinking about New York City as the idyllic venue. None of us made any sales that week, I think she may have been right.

I did however get to present a painting to Toronto based jazz singer Molly Johnson. That was a major highlight and it made the paper.

I thought I'd would share this series of paintings starting with Hank Mobley. This is an oil on canvas painting.
